
Reform UK Kent County Council Cancel Culture
Cancelling the meetings needed to make change.
At the May 2025 elections, 12 Liberal Democrats were elected to Kent County Council, the official opposition to Reform UK. This is the Liberal Democrats' largest Kent County Council group for over 20 years.

15 questions were asked to Kent County Council by Councillors on 22 May 2025, of which some were answered on the day, and the remaining in writing only.
The Reform run council has doubled down on its policy to no longer fly the Pride flag.
Antony Hook has been elected to continue to lead the Lib Dem Group at Kent County Council. The Liberal Democrat Group are now the Official Opposition on Kent County Council, with as many Councillors as Conservatives, Labour and Greens combined.
The Liberal Democrat group at Kent County Council have more experience than all the other 4 groups added together, and then some.
The Chairman of Reform UK, Zia Yusuf, has said that Reform Councils will move “at speed” to resolve that only the St George's Flag and Union Flag can be flown from Council buildings.
So we will keep fighting - until we can finally build a society where everyone is free to be who they are.
