Local Elections 2009

The Government has published a consultation paper on moving the date of the Local Elections (counties and unitaries) to coincide with the Euro elections on 4th June. The full consultation paper is at http://tinyurl.com/46aszm

The tone of the paper is that the Government is in favour of the change, but there is a consultation period until 11 August, and the paper says a final decision will be made in early October.
