Fundraising for the 2009 elections is now underway

Fundraising for the South East England Euro Elections is now fully underway with the launch of the fundraising section of www.libdems4europe.org.uk.

It has resources for local parties to setup standing orders and run fundraising events and for members and supporters to donate by standing order, cheque and credit card.

Darren Briddock treasurer of the Euro Election campaign said "Our fundraising drive has got off to a flying start. Many thanks to all those local parties who have started donating to the campaign and also to the members and supporters who have signed up for standing orders.

"We have a lot of money to raise but I'm sure that everyone will pull together across the South East Euro Region to help get our talented list of candidates elected.
