Lib Dems hold Denne in Horsham

The Liberal Democrats yesterday successfully held Denne Ward on Horsham District Council with a majority of 94.

The result in full was:

  • LD Sheila Dale 550 (40.8; -8.5), Con 456 (33.8; -8.3), BNP 171 (12.7;

+12.7), Ind 78 (5.8; +5.8), Lab 54 (4.0; -4.6), UKIP 40 (3.0; +3.0).

  • Majority 94. Turnout 32%. LD hold. Last fought 2003.

In Gravesham, Lib Dem Bruce Parmenter gained over 100 votes in a seat not contested at the last election. The Conservatives held the seat.

  • Con 689 (54.6; -0.4), Lab 463 (36.7; -8.3), LD Bruce Parmenter 109 (8.6;

+8.6).

  • Majority 226. Turnout 28.2%. Con hold. Last fought 2003.
