Woking Liberal Democrats choose Rosie Sharpley as their PPC

11.44.47am GMT Tue 5th Dec 2006

Rosie Sharpley

Rosie is a local Councillor, Nurse Practitioner and Magistrate in Woking. The seat is a hot prospect for the next General Election, following the Lib Dems taking control of the Borough Council this Year. Rosie stood in Horsham against Francis Maude at the last General Election and achieved a good swing from both the Conservatives and Labour. The Labour Candidate was sufficiently disappointed by the result that he defected to the Tories shortly afterwards and is now on their "A" list.
