"At a risk of saying I TOLD YOU SO" Dan Daley, Councillor for Maidstone Central responded to the quite remarkable statements made by Councillor Ferrin (Cabinet Member for Environment & Waste) concerning the repeated breakdowns and operational failures of the Allington Incinerator. Mr Ferrin is quoted as saying what seemed a very wise decision a very long a very long time ago is a very stupid one today.

The Joint South East and South Central Regional Reception and is open to all delegates attending the Federal Conference who live in the two Regions.It will take place on Sunday 14th September between 20.00-21-15 in the Tregonwell Bar which is situated in the Conference Centre. Baroness Emma Nicholson and Norman Baker MP will make short speeches.

Lib Dem 'leg Work' May Bring Park And Ride To Worthing!

Following a Cabinet meeting last week at which the Council told local Lib Dems that Park and Ride was not possible in Worthing because developers were not interested in providing a suitable site, and bus companies were not interested in providing the transport, the Lib Dems have gone out and found a possible solution to the problem, which could help encourage shoppers back into Worthing despite prohibitive car park charges in the town centre.
